Bought this as a small, inexpensive baitcaster for my son. Ended up taking it out several times inshore on a 7 ft. 10-20 lb. rod and caught numerous blues up into the mid teens and a 20 lb. striper. Not sure what the drag pressure is, but it's small enough to easily thumb the spool and really feel the fight. Held up great w/ a regular wash down after each trip. As noted w/ the review on the CL-70, the free spool lever doesn't always engage consistently. It's great for my son, and I won't cry if he drops it overboard (been diving already).
