BIG GAME FISHING SCHOOL
Our Big Game Fishing School is geared towards the
occasional weekend warrior that wants to take his fishing to the next level.
Learn rigging, boat handling and cockpit skills necessary to successfully land
big game fish.
Our 2011 season featured the southern Bahamas
island of San Salvador. Anglers had the opportunity to match their skills with
100+ lbs wahoosand 400+ lbs marlins. The successful season was sold out
with many on waiting list.
We are in the process of planning our 2012
destination. If you are interested in joining
us for this experience, please send us an email indicating your interest and we
will notify you when the schedule is ready. Average cost for the four nights
with three full days of fishing is $ 2,300, all inclusive. Non-fishing
companions can go for $ 1,300. Four anglers/boat.
SEMINARS
Our free in-house seminars feature captains with
extensive experience. We explore deep dropping techniques, kite fishing, bait
and lure rigging, daytime and nighttime swordfishing and
much more. Check this page often for upcoming events.
CHARTER BOATS
Florida is by far the most popular sport fishing
domestic destination with thousands of visitors enjoying the wide variety of
fishing our state has to offer. For the casual visitor, selecting the right
cruise can be a daunting task. Horror stories abound of bad experiences and
disappointment.
To enjoy your experience, it is important to match
your expectations with a captain and crew that can deliver. Although no captain
can insure that you will return with a boat full of fish, the right captain can
make the experience a memory to be shared for years to come.
Good fishing can be found year round in our
waters. However, some seasons are better for a particular type of fishing. For
example, the Sailfish corridor between Palm Beach and Stuart comes alive in the
wintertime and it is almost impossible not to catch one of these beautiful fish
during the cold months. Late Spring and Summer is great for dolphin fish,
cobias, mackerels and wahoos, while the offshore action slows down in
mid-summer. Bottom fishing is spectacular year round and a good captain can get
you hooked up with groupers, snappers and the variety of fish to be found off the
reefs and wrecks. Inshore there is always tarpon and snooks to
be found.
Below is a list of charters that we recommend and
would not hesitate to use them ourselves. We do book for several of these
captains or you can book your trip directly with them. They are the best of the
best and their services range from the inexpensive to moderate. We try to
describe what you can expect and it is up to you to match our review with your
expectations.
BAHAMAS
Several of the captains above can arrange
multi-day trips to the Bahamas. For boat owners, the list below features several
places and guides we trust and use ourselves. These people and places are out of
the ordinary and by no mean represent a level of luxury you may find in Paradise
Island or Freeport. These are places that are for the serious angler looking for
a lot of action.
