Deep Drop Rod, Cockpit
Chaos Series
One of our best sellers.
Best value in a deep drop rod anywhere.
This is a great deep
dropping rod. Awesome sensitivity yet lightweight and strong. Composite
patented blank and stainless steel ball bearing guides.
Standard configuration
includes a Pac Bay compatible bent butt or you can order a straight butt
as a no-cost option.
This is a very popular
rod with over 400 800 sold since its introduction. Combine with one of the
recommended reels below to the ultimate deep drop fishing outfit.
NOTE: We now add the
swivel tip to the rod before shipment. If you want a stiffer, shorter
rod for sword fishing, we can reduce its length by 9-12". For general
deep dropping we still recommend its full length as it gives you
excellent sensitivity.
ALSO: Aftco swivel tips
are available at an $ 59 upcharge.

Just got my two new Cockpit Chaos Deep Drop Rods...

I received my two new CC Deep Drop rods this week. I have a few early comments. First of all...I found StingRay Tackle to be extremely responsive and an excellent company to do business with. Once I got the two rods in my hands I am even more impressed. The craftsmanship and attention to quality is what you would expect from a much more expensive rod. In fact I had been looking to spend close to $500.00 each for new deep drop rods but decided to give these a try when I saw them online. They look even better in person than they do on the web. I have yet to put them in the water but both of them are now mated to Daiwa Tanancom Bull 1000 Electric reels...and it won't be long. If you are wondering about these rods as I was.. let me first tell you that you will not beat the price. I will also tell you that you will not beat the quality until you get around the $800.00-$1000.00 price range. I am impressed..!!!
