| We quietly introduced
our Big Game Fly Rod collection at the 2009 ICAST show in Orlando and it
quickly drew a crowd. We always knew that these rods, designed by our
master rod builder Neil Drumheller, an avid long time Chesapeake fly
fisherman, were superior than the competition. But when we heard the
comments and feedback from the experts, we were sure we had something
special. As
with all our rods, our Indigo Bay fly rods boast a new design and a new
standard for the industry. With our commitment to deliver top-quality
fishing tackle at prices everyone can afford, these rods are packed with
value and performance. They are guaranteed to set the standard for years
to come.
The
Indigo Bay Big Game series is the brainchild of Neil Drumheller, a well
known Chesapeake fly fisherman and custom rod builder. Over the years
Neil has tested and fished with every big name rod out there. He has
also repaired many of them and because of this hands-on fishing and rod
design experience, we went to him for the design of our first big game
fly rod. The result is a great and unique rod design with strength and
power to handle any big game situation. There are other big game rods in
the market but we assure you that these rods are in a class of their
own.
What makes these rods unique are the details, some of them not readily
apparent to the casual observer. Based on his hands-on experience, Neil
demanded a new blank, reinforcing certain parts of the rod while
maintaining a reasonable weight and excellent performance . The
result is a series of true big game class rods, ready to tackle
saltwater world records anywhere in the world.
