CUSTOM ROD
Every year, Master Rod builder Neil
Drumheller raffles one of his custom rods to benefit the
American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. This year’s rod is a
6’6” conventional heavy bottom stick excellent for stripers,
flounders, snappers and the likes. The rod’s wrapping is pink
and gold, turned real red cedar handle and grip with a pewter
fairy inlay.
Neil creates some of the most
beautiful rods in our industry. His painstaking attention to
details and demand for a perfect finish is extraordinary.
Unfortunately, these photographs do not do the rod justice and
Neil promises to work on his photography skills for next year. I
am the proud owner of over a dozen of Neil’s rods and I
guarantee you that his rods are unique and excellent examples of
rod building at its best. If you are the fortunate winner, you
will treasure this rod forever.
