The Caveman concave head design is one of the oldest and most effective lure design. Originating in Hawaii, the concave head produces a splash as it dives in and out of the water. People say it 'pops' as it enters and leaves the water attracting fish by sound. It may be the engine noise or my hearing, but I never been able to hear the sound. Regardless, it is one effective lure for mahis and tunas.
